Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) Veronica J. Holliman accepted a position at the 123rd Services Flight in Louisville, Kentucky as the Readiness in Base Services (RIBS) Technician in January 2003. CMSgt Holliman was the RIBS Technician for the 187th Alabama Air National Guard from June 1996 to January 2003.
CMSgt Holliman's military career began 1 May 1987 when she enlisted in the Alabama Air National Guard with the 187th Fighter Wing at Montgomery, Alabama. She spent her first eight years working with Finance in Military Pay, Travel Pay and Commercial Services earning her 7-skill level in the Financial Management career field. In June of 1996 she was selected for the RIBS Technician position and transferred to the 187th Services Flight. On the 15th of January 2003, CMSgt Holliman accepted the Active Guard Reserve position at the 123rd Services Flight as the RIBS Technician at Standiford Field, Kentucky Air National Guard.
CMSgt Holliman held the position of Weapons System Representative and Regional Representative on the Services Field Advisory Council from 1998 until 2003 when she was elected in October 2003 to serve as the Secretary for the Services Association. Additionally, she serves as the Secretary for the Services Field Advisory Council. She has served on the Air National Guard Food Management Team and has served as an evaluator for the Kenneth W. Disney Award from 2000 until 2005. CMSgt Holliman also serves as an evaluator for Air National Guard Staff Assistance Visits and has served as an Augmentee for the Air Combat Command (ACC) Inspector General Team. She has also been selected by the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Inspector General Team to serve as an Augmentee. CMSgt Holliman became a certified instructor in April 2004 and has assisted as a course developer with the RIBS Course and Food Managers Course re-writes in 2004 and 2007.
CMSgt Holliman was awarded her Associates Degree in Financial Management from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) in September 2002 and was awarded her Associates Degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Fitness Management from CCAF in September 2003.
CMSgt Holliman attended the NCO Preparatory Course (Airman Leadership School) in March of 1989 at McGhee Tyson ANGB, Tennessee. CMSgt Holliman completed the Noncommissioned Officer Academy correspondence in June 1996 and completed the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy correspondence in January 2000. On 09 December 2004 she was promoted to her current rank of Chief Master Sergeant.
CMSgt Holliman's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with four oak leaf clusters, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the National Defense Service Medal with bronze star.
CMSgt Holliman is the daughter of Mr. Johnny K. Holliman of Kennedy, Alabama and Mrs. Charlotte B. Fuller of Emelle, Alabama.
